5/5GARLIC IN CONTAINERAfter years of planting flowers , I decided to follow the trend and start growing veg. Reason I started with garlic wasn't just because of the health benefits like lowering cholesterol and acting as a natural antibiotic but because Sainsbury's was selling them for 24p each. I broke it up into individual cloves which I planted pointy end up in a 10 inch dia pot.. Green shoots

5/5/2010Just about to walk through my back gate when I noticed my 'Frankie clematis' was in bloom - took a quick pic of it because the blue colour seemed to be saying'Look I told you I was the blue you were expecting me to be.' Heck I thought he deserves a bit of water for that.... so I duly splashed a canful of water over his pebbled clad feet.

IF YOU DON 'T TRY YOU'LL NEVER KNOW - Fancied growing gojiberry, blueberry, and cranberry, not something popular here in UK, but what the heck!! Checked web for ideas on how to get started with 'em - put a goji in ground, another in pot and hey presto they seem to be growing. Bought cheap dried up cranberry bush - stuck ericaceous compost in bright red plastic container - and asked them nicely
